TEHRAN (IQNA) – A Quran reading session was held recently in Sadr Town of Baghdad with the participation of a number of Iraqi Quranic elites.

According to Qaaf news agency, the program was in line with a series of Quranic courses titled "Al-Dhikr Al-Mubin” that were recently held in the region.

Sabah Al-Saray, an Iraqi Qari, recited some verses of the Holy Quran at the beginning of the program, which was continued with a speech by Abu Zahra Al-Daraji, an organizer of the courses.

Sheikh Rafi’ Ameri, the director of the National Center of Qurani Sciences affiliated to the Iraqi Shia Awqaf Office and Osama Karbalayi, a Qari and Muazzin of the Astan (custodianship) of Imam Hussein’s holy shrine, Falh Atiye and Ali Khafaji were the other eminent Iraqi Qaris who recited Quranic verses in the program.

The session was also attended by a number of representatives of Quranic institutes and associations of Baghdad and some other parts of Iraq.

The Quran reciters in the program were honored and received certificates at the end of the session.
