13 Qaris Receive Quran Recitation Permission

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Thirteen Iranian Qaris received special permission for recitation of the Quran.

The permissions were granted at the closing of a specialized Quran recitation course dubbed Iqra.

During the course, held by the Quran Supreme Council, the Qaris recited the entire Holy Book in the style of Hafs 'an Asim, IRNA reported.

Seyed Yasem Mousavi, Heydar Mirazee, Morteza Shakouri, Mehdi Keramatizadeh, Mojtaba Mohammadbeigi, Hamid Sheikhzadeh and Hassan Akhtari were among those receiving the permission at the closing ceremony.  

The course is taught regularly by Egyptian Quran master Sheikh Mohamed Fahmi Abdul Sayyid Asfour.
