TEHRAN (IQNA) – Secretary General of Lebanon’s Hezbollah resistance movement, Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah, will deliver a speech on Friday, August 14, on anniversary of the resistance movement’s victory in the 33-day war.

Nasrallah will address a ceremony planned to be held in Wadi al-Hajir in Beirut to celebrate the 2006 victory over the Zionist regime.

Tel Aviv launched wars on Lebanon in 2000 and 2006. About 1,200 Lebanese, most of them civilians, were killed in the 33-Day War of 2006.

On both occasions, however, Hezbollah fighters defeated the Israeli military and Tel Aviv was forced to retreat without achieving any of its objectives.

Hezbollah secretary-general has said in numerous occasions that the movement has both the capability and the courage to defend Lebanon and that Hezbollah’s missiles are ready to strike certain targets inside Israel in self-defense if Tel Aviv launches an attack on Lebanon.
