Int’l Festival to Promote Culture of Ashura
Titled “Ana Min Hussein (I am from Imam Hussein (AS)), it will be organized in cooperation with a number of other institutes and centers, said Ayatollah Mohammad Hassan Akhtari, the managing director of the foundation.
He called on authors, artists, researchers and others interested in the field to make and sent artworks and research papers on the life and Seerah of the third Imam (AS) and Ashura.
The cleric said the festival is aimed at supporting and promoting talents and studies in order to introduce the school of Imam Hussein (AS) to the world.
He said the Seerah of Imam Hussein (AS) has various aspects and learning about these aspects is necessary for everyone.
Ayatollah Akhtari added that countering distortions and promoting the truth about the Seerah and life f Imam Hussein (AS) is another objective of the festival, noting that some enemies try to spread false ideas and distorted views about historical facts.
He further said that the festival will be held in five categories of cinema, poetry, books and papers, cyberspace content, and special ideas.
The deadline for submitting works is September 22 and the awarding ceremony will be held in February 2023, he went on to say.
