CAIR Visits Arkansas’ Islamic Center of Jonesboro

WASHINGTON, DC (IQNA) – The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) visited the Islamic Center of Jonesboro in Arkansas on September 1 as part of its National Muslim Civil Rights Tour. 

The council will pay another visit to the center on September 8.

CAIR’s Director of Mosque Engagement Ayman Aishat delivered the Friday sermon yesterday and will do it again on September 8 at the Islamic Center of Jonesboro.

Aishat also held discussions with community members after maghrib (sunset) prayer on the community’s needs and how CAIR can best support them. 

The Arkansas events are similar to visits to others states CAIR’s National Muslim Civil Rights Tour. 

CAIR’s mission is to protect civil rights, enhance understanding of Islam, promote justice, and empower American Muslims.
