Babacar Samb, head of the Dar-ol-Quran centers department at Senegal’s ministry of national education held talks with Ali Reza Vazin, Iran’s cultural attaché in the African country.
During the meeting, which was also attended by Muhammadu Niang, a Quran and Arabic language expert and special inspector of Dar-ol-Quran centers in Senegal, the two sides discussed cooperation between the two Muslim countries in Quranic fields.
Samb referred to the progress that Iran has made in these fields and said Senegal is keen on the transfer of Iran’s experiences and knowhow pertaining to new Quran teaching methods.
The two sides also agreed to prepare a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on Quranic cooperation that will be signed during a visit to Tehran by the Senegalese official.
